Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Steak

1½ lbs (700g) sirloin or ribeye steak

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp garlic powder

For the Shrimp

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined

2 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp chili flakes (optional)

Salt & pepper to taste

1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Cheese Topping

1½ cups shredded mozzarella

½ cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Steak

Pat steak dry with paper towels.

Rub with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat.

Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) for medium-rare.

Remove and let rest 5–10 minutes, then slice into strips.

2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

Add butter and garlic; sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper.

Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

Add lemon juice and chili flakes (if using).

3️⃣ Assemble & Melt

Return sliced steak to the skillet with shrimp.

Mix gently so flavors combine.

Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar evenly over the top.

Cover with a lid and cook on low for 2–3 minutes until cheese melts.

(Optional: Broil 2–3 minutes for bubbly golden cheese.)
