Slow Cooker Key Lime Cobbler (4-Ingredient Dessert)

Slow Cooker Key Lime Cobbler (4-Ingredient Dessert)
Servings: 8
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 2–2½ hours (HIGH) or about 4 hours (LOW)
Ingredients
2 cans (21 oz each) key lime pie filling
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon fresh lime zest (from key limes or regular limes)
Optional for Serving
Vanilla ice cream
Whipped topping
Fresh lime slices
Instructions
Prepare the slow cooker
Lightly grease the inside of a 4–6 quart slow cooker with butter or non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
Add the filling
Pour the key lime pie filling into the bottom of the slow cooker and spread it evenly to create a smooth layer.
Add the cake mix
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the filling.
Do not stir. The cake mix should stay on top.
Add butter and zest
In a small bowl, mix the lime zest into the melted butter.
Drizzle the butter
Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the cake mix, trying to cover most of the surface.
Some dry spots are okay.
Cook
Cover with the lid and cook:
HIGH: 2 to 2½ hours
LOW: about 4 hours
The cobbler is ready when the top is golden and set and the lime filling bubbles around the edges.
Let it rest
Turn the slow cooker to WARM and let the cobbler sit for 10–15 minutes to thicken slightly.
Serve
Scoop warm portions into bowls, making sure each serving has both the tangy lime filling and buttery cake topping.
Tips
Add ½ cup shredded coconut for a tropical twist.
Sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top before serving for a key-lime-pie flavor.
This dessert keeps well in the slow cooker on WARM for up to 1 hour for parties.
