Servings

2 cups

Ingredients

2 cups filtered water

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon raw honey

1 teaspoon magnesium-rich mineral salt or Himalayan salt

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 small cucumber, sliced

A few fresh mint leaves

Optional: 1 teaspoon magnesium citrate powder (food grade)

Instructions

Step 1: Warm the Water

In a small saucepan, gently warm the filtered water over low heat. Do not boil it, as excessive heat may reduce the freshness of some ingredients.

Step 2: Add the Flavor Base

Stir in the fresh lemon juice, raw honey, grated ginger, and mineral salt until fully dissolved.

Step 3: Blend the Ingredients

Add the cucumber slices, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and mint leaves into a blender. Pour in the warm tonic mixture and blend until smooth.

Step 4: Strain (Optional)

For a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve. If you enjoy a thicker tonic with extra fiber, you can skip this step.

Step 5: Add Magnesium Powder

If using magnesium citrate powder, stir it in after blending according to package directions.

Step 6: Serve

Pour into mugs or glasses and enjoy warm or chilled. Garnish with extra mint or a lemon slice if desired.
