Slow Cooker Loaded Steak and Potato Bake
Ingredients
1.5 lbs (680 g) sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 lbs (900 g) russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
1/4 cup fresh green onions, sliced
1/2 cup sour cream
Preparation
Prep ingredients
Peel and cube the potatoes into evenly sized chunks.
Cut steak into bite-sized cubes (trim excess fat if needed).
Season everything
In a large bowl, combine:
Steak
Potatoes
Olive oil
Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper
Mix well so everything is evenly coated.
Cooking Instructions
Prepare slow cooker
Lightly grease a 6-quart slow cooker with oil or cooking spray.
Add mixture
Transfer the steak and potato mixture into the slow cooker.
Spread it into an even layer for even cooking.
Cook
Cover and cook on:
Low: 6–7 hours (best for tender steak)
High: 3–4 hours (if short on time)
Potatoes should be soft and steak tender when done.
Add the “Loaded” Toppings
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
Add cooked bacon bits.
Cover again and let sit for 10–15 minutes until cheese melts.
