Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball
Ingredients
2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 package (8 oz) chipped dried beef, finely chopped if needed
1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
3 green onions, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish if desired)
Salt, to taste
Ritz crackers (or your favorite crackers), for serving
Instructions
Soften the cream cheese
Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl.
Mix the base
Using a hand mixer or wooden spoon, blend the cream cheese until smooth.
Add the beef and onions
Stir in the chopped chipped dried beef and the finely chopped green onions.
Season the mixture
Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
Taste and adjust
Taste the mixture and add a little salt if needed (dried beef is already salty, so you may not need much).
Shape the cheese ball
Place the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Gather the wrap around it and shape it into a tight ball.
Chill
Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes (or up to several hours) until firm.
Serve
Remove the plastic wrap, place the cheese ball on a serving plate, and garnish with extra chopped green onions if desired. Serve with Ritz crackers or other crackers.
Tips
For extra flavor, roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans, parsley, or more dried beef before serving.
Let it sit 10 minutes at room temperature before serving so it spreads easily.
You can make it 1 day ahead and keep it wrapped in the refrigerator.
