Crispy Tuna & Egg Toast Bites – The Perfect Easter Appetizer
These crunchy little toast bites are creamy, savory, and incredibly easy to make. Filled with a delicious tuna and egg mixture, topped with ham, capers, and fresh parsley, they’re the kind of appetizer that disappears first at every holiday table!
Ingredients
5 eggs
1 tsp salt
Slices of toast bread
Toothpicks
Olive oil
Provencal herbs
1 can tuna, drained
1–2 tbsp mayonnaise
Capers, to taste
30 g (1 oz) ham, finely chopped
Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Boil the Eggs
Place the eggs in a pot of water and boil for about 10 minutes. Cool them in cold water, peel, and finely chop.
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, combine the chopped eggs, tuna, mayonnaise, capers, chopped ham, parsley, and salt. Mix until creamy and well combined.
Prepare the Bread
Cut the toast bread into small squares or circles using a cutter. Brush lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with Provencal herbs.
Toast Until Crispy
Bake the bread pieces in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Assemble the Appetizers
Spoon the tuna mixture onto each toasted bread piece. Secure with toothpicks if desired for a festive presentation.
