Instructions

1. Prepare the Batter

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until light and creamy. Add vanilla, milk, and melted butter, then mix well.

2. Add Dry Ingredients

Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until a soft dough forms. The dough should be smooth and slightly sticky.

3. Shape the Cakes

Lightly flour your hands and shape small balls or flat discs from the dough.

4. Fry Until Golden

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the dough pieces in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until beautifully golden and puffed.

5. Finish & Serve

Drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with powdered sugar or coat with cinnamon sugar while warm.

Serving Ideas

Serve with hot tea or coffee

Dip in melted chocolate

Add jam or honey for extra sweetness

Helpful Tips

Don’t overheat the oil or the cakes may brown too quickly outside while staying raw inside.

For extra fluffiness, let the dough rest for 10 minutes before frying.

You can add lemon zest or orange zest for a fresh flavor twist.

Crispy, fluffy, sweet, and incredibly easy — this simple 2-egg fried cake recipe is guaranteed to disappear fast!
