Golden Crispy Prawns with Creamy Garlic & Sweet Chili Dips

 

 

 

These ultra-crispy prawns are crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and served with two irresistible dipping sauces. Perfect for parties, family dinners, or a delicious snack everyone will love!

Ingredients

For the Crispy Prawns

Raw prawns, peeled and deveined

1 cup panko breadcrumbs or crushed cereal

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Oil for frying

Creamy Garlic Dip

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Pinch of salt

Sweet Chili Dip

1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon lime juice

 

 

 

 

Instructions

Prepare the coating station:

Place the flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and the breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.

Coat the prawns:

Dip each prawn into the flour, then the egg, and finally coat well with the breadcrumb mixture.

Fry until golden:

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the prawns for 2–3 minutes on each side until crispy and golden brown. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.

Make the dipping sauces:

Mix all the creamy garlic dip ingredients in a small bowl.

In another bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, honey, and lime juice.

Serve and enjoy:

Arrange the crispy prawns on a serving plate with both dipping sauces on the side. Serve hot and enjoy every crunchy bite!

Extra Tip: For an even crunchier texture, use crushed cornflakes instead of breadcrumbs!
