Heavenly 3-Ingredient Southern Blueberry Cobbler (Easy Old-Fashioned Favorite)
This simple, nostalgic cobbler is the kind of dessert everyone asks for again and again. With just three humble ingredients, it delivers a rich, jammy blueberry filling and a golden, buttery crust that tastes like it came straight from a Southern kitchen. It’s effortless, comforting, and perfect for gatherings—from spring potlucks to cozy family dinners.
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
2 cups blueberry pie filling (or canned blueberries in syrup)
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish.
Add the Blueberries:
Spread the blueberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
Layer the Cake Mix:
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the blueberries—do not stir.
Add the Butter:
Drizzle the melted butter over the top, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
Bake to Perfection:
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Cool Slightly & Serve:
Let it rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve warm straight from the dish while the blueberries are still bubbling. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a spoonful of whipped cream for a creamy contrast. It also pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee or a glass of cold milk.
Tip:
For a slightly crispier topping, dot a few extra small pieces of butter over any dry spots before baking.
