This Slow Cooker Amish Pork Noodles recipe is classic comfort food—tender shredded pork cooked slowly in rich gravy and served over hearty egg noodles. Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

2½–3 pounds pork shoulder (pork butt)

1 packet (1 oz) brown gravy mix

4 cups beef broth

12 oz wide egg noodles

Optional for serving

Black pepper

Dried parsley

 

 

 

Directions

Prepare the slow cooker

Place the pork shoulder in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Add the gravy mixture

Sprinkle the brown gravy mix over the pork.

Pour the beef broth over everything.

Cook the pork

Cover and cook:

Low: 8 hours

High: 4–5 hours

The pork should become very tender and easy to shred.

Shred the meat

Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.

Return the shredded pork back to the gravy in the slow cooker.

Cook the noodles

Boil the egg noodles according to the package instructions until tender.

Drain well.

Combine and serve

Spoon the shredded pork and gravy over warm egg noodles or mix them together in the slow cooker.

If you want thicker gravy, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 15 minutes.
