Spring Comfort in a Dish: Creamy 4-Ingredient Ham & Pea Tortellini Bake
This easy oven-baked ham and pea tortellini is a simple yet satisfying dinner that captures the fresh, cozy feeling of spring. Inspired by my sister’s go-to recipe, it combines just a handful of ingredients into something creamy, hearty, and irresistibly comforting. With tender cheese-filled tortellini, sweet green peas, and savory ham all baked in a rich, velvety sauce, it’s the kind of no-fuss meal that feels both nostalgic and special.
Rooted in classic homestyle cooking, this dish comes together in one baking dish with minimal prep—perfect for busy weeknights or relaxed family dinners. As it bakes, the edges turn golden and bubbly, filling your kitchen with an aroma that brings everyone to the table.
Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient Ham & Pea Tortellini
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
1 (20 oz / 565 g) package cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
1 ½ cups diced cooked ham
1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen, thawed)
1 ½ cups heavy cream
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a glass baking dish.
Add the tortellini, diced ham, and peas directly into the dish.
Pour the heavy cream evenly over everything and gently stir to combine.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the sauce is bubbling.
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve this creamy bake straight from the oven with a crisp green salad tossed in a light lemon vinaigrette to brighten the flavors. Warm crusty bread or garlic toast is perfect for soaking up the extra sauce. For drinks, a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio, a light beer, or sparkling water with citrus slices pairs beautifully.
Finish each plate with a pinch of freshly ground black pepper for a subtle contrast to the creamy richness.
Simple, cozy, and full of flavor—this is the kind of recipe you’ll come back to all season long.
