Christmas Tree Cake Dip

Christmas Tree Cake Dip

Ingredients

1 (8 oz) block full-fat cream cheese, softened

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon almond extract (optional, for added flavor)

10–15 drops green food coloring (liquid or gel, adjust for preferred shade)

½ cup rainbow sprinkles or festive nonpareils

¼ cup mini chocolate chips or red and green M&M’s (to resemble ornaments)

For Dipping (Choose Your Favorites):

Pretzel rods or twists

Graham crackers

Vanilla wafers

Fresh strawberries or apple slices

Shortbread cookies

Instructions

1. Soften the ingredients:
Allow the cream cheese and butter to reach room temperature to ensure a smooth, creamy texture.

2. Create the base:
In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).

3. Add sweetness and flavor:
Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using). Beat until well combined and fluffy.

4. Add color:
Incorporate the green food coloring a few drops at a time, mixing thoroughly until you achieve a festive Christmas tree green.

5. Mix in decorations:
Gently fold in the sprinkles and mini chocolate chips or M&M’s to distribute them evenly throughout the dip.

6. Shape your tree:
Transfer the mixture to a serving platter or shallow bowl. Use a spatula to form it into a Christmas tree shape.

7. Decorate:
Sprinkle a few extra candies or sprinkles on top to mimic ornaments and lights. Arrange your chosen dippers around the “tree.”

8. Chill (optional):
For the best consistency, refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before serving. Enjoy immediately or straight from the fridge—either way, it’s festive and delicious!

Tip: For extra holiday flair, top your tree with a star-shaped candy or a small cookie before serving!
