These oven-baked barbecue pork chops are everything you want in a comforting, no-fuss meal: juicy on the inside, caramelized on the outside, and coated in a rich, sticky BBQ glaze. Perfect for busy weeknights or relaxed weekend dinners, this recipe delivers bold flavor with minimal effort—no grill required.

Oven-Baked BBQ Pork Chops

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 2–2.5 cm thick)

1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil for easy cleanup.

Season the pork chops: Pat them dry with paper towels, then rub both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

 

 

 

Sear (optional but recommended): Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned. This step locks in flavor and adds a nice crust.

Add the BBQ sauce: Place the pork chops in the baking dish and generously brush them with barbecue sauce on both sides.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, depending on thickness, until the pork is fully cooked and tender.

Glaze and caramelize: In the last 5 minutes, spoon extra sauce over the chops and switch to broil (grill) mode for a sticky, slightly charred finish.

Rest before serving: Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes to keep them juicy.
