Ingredients
For the Crumb Base
2 cups crushed vanilla cookies or graham crackers
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons sugar
For the Orange Cream Filling
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package unflavored gelatin (about 7 g), dissolved in 3 tablespoons warm water
For Decoration
Orange slices or zest
Crushed cookies
Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Crumb Base
In a bowl, combine the crushed cookies, melted butter, and sugar until evenly mixed. Press half of the mixture firmly into the bottom of a loaf pan or terrine mold lined with parchment paper.
Make the Orange Cream Filling
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the sweetened condensed milk, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix gently until smooth and creamy.
Add the Gelatin
Stir the dissolved gelatin into the orange mixture and blend well to help the dessert set perfectly.
Assemble the Terrine
Pour the creamy orange filling over the prepared crumb base. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top.
Chill
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until fully firm and sliceable.
Serve & Enjoy
Carefully remove from the mold and decorate with whipped cream, orange slices, and extra cookie crumbs before serving.
