- 1/3 cup lemon pepper seasoning
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 4 cups water (enough to cover wings)
For the Fry (optional, for extra crispiness):
- 3 cups vegetable oil
For the Butter Sauce:
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp brown sugar (optional, for balance)
Instructions
1. Prepare and Boil the Wings
- Clean and rinse chicken wings thoroughly.
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the crab/seafood boil seasoning, lemon slices, lemon pepper, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Drop the chicken wings into the seasoned water and simmer on medium heat for about 15–20 minutes, or until wings are tender and cooked through.
- Drain the wings and set them aside.
2. (Optional) Fry for Crispiness
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Carefully fry the boiled wings for 3–5 minutes, until the skin becomes golden and slightly crisp.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
3. Make the Butter Sauce
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, paprika, hot sauce, and brown sugar (if using).
- Mix well until smooth and aromatic.
4. Coat the Wings
- Place the wings in a large bowl or pan.
- Pour the hot butter sauce over them and toss until every wing is coated and glossy.
5. Serve and Enjoy!
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
- Perfect with corn on the cob, boiled potatoes, or garlic bread.
Tip:
For extra flavor, let the wings sit in the butter sauce for 10 minutes before serving — they’ll soak up every bit of that spicy, buttery goodness!
