3-Ingredient Low-Carb Ham & Cheese Bakes

3-Ingredient Low-Carb Ham & Cheese Bakes

Warm, melty, savory, and unbelievably easy—this simple 3-ingredient appetizer disappears fast!

My dad always liked to sneak a batch of these into the oven before guests arrived. He called it “getting ahead,” but somehow a few pieces always mysteriously disappeared before anyone else had a chance to try them!

These Low-Carb Ham & Cheese Bakes are made with just three simple ingredients and bake into golden, bubbly bites filled with savory ham and gooey melted cheese. They’re the perfect easy appetizer for brunch, game day, family gatherings, or those busy evenings when you want something delicious without spending hours in the kitchen.

Think of them as the best cheesy, savory parts of a casserole—packed into warm, bite-sized pieces!

🥓 Ingredients

– 8 ounces thinly sliced deli ham

– 8 ounces shredded cheese, such as cheddar, Monterey Jack, or mozzarella

– 6 large eggs

Optional: Add a pinch of black pepper, garlic powder, or your favorite seasoning, although the recipe is delicious with just the three basic ingredients.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish or a 12-cup muffin tin.

2. Prepare the ham. If using a muffin tin, gently press slices of ham into the cups to create little ham “cups.” For a casserole-style bake, simply arrange the ham evenly in the baking dish.

3. Add the cheese. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the ham.

4. Whisk the eggs in a bowl until smooth, then pour them evenly over the ham and cheese.

5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbling around the edges.

6. Rest for a few minutes before slicing or serving. Enjoy them warm while the cheese is still gooey and delicious!

Serving Ideas

Serve these warm straight from the oven with:

– Spicy mustard or hot sauce for dipping

– Fresh vegetables and ranch dressing

– A simple green salad

– Scrambled eggs for a hearty breakfast-for-dinner

– Tomato soup for a cozy, comforting meal

Set out toothpicks or small serving tongs so guests can easily grab a piece.

Helpful Tip

For extra-crispy edges, bake the mixture in a muffin tin. The ham forms delicious little cups, while the cheese melts into golden, savory edges that are often the first pieces to disappear!
