Peanut Butter Fudge (3 Double Batches)

 

Ingredients

6 cups sugar

3 cups milk

6 cups peanut butter

6 teaspoons vanilla extract

Optional: a pinch of salt (helps balance sweetness)

 

 

 

Instructions

Prepare the pan

Lightly grease a large baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

Cook the sugar and milk

In a large heavy saucepan, combine the sugar and milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a rolling boil.

Boil

Once boiling, continue to boil for 2½–3 minutes, stirring so it doesn’t scorch.

Add peanut butter

Remove from heat and immediately stir in the peanut butter until completely smooth.

Add vanilla

Stir in the vanilla extract (and salt if using).

Pour and set

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.

Let it cool at room temperature until fully set.

Cut and serve

Cut into squares and enjoy!

 

 

 

Storage

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week

Or refrigerate for a firmer texture
