 Mac and Cheese Lasagna Delight

 

This fun, comfort-food mashup combines creamy mac and cheese with hearty meat sauce and melty cheese layers. It’s rich, filling, and perfect for family dinners!

 

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 package macaroni and cheese (prepared according to package directions)
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil (for greasing dish)

 Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Beef
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
    Drain excess fat, then season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add Sauce
    Stir the spaghetti sauce into the cooked beef.
    Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Prepare Mac and Cheese
    Make the macaroni and cheese according to the package instructions. Set aside.
  5. Assemble the Layers
    • Spread ½ of the mac and cheese in the bottom of the baking dish.
    • Top with ½ of the meat sauce.
    • Sprinkle with ½ of the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
    • Repeat the layers once more.
    • Finish with Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Bake
    Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
    Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  7. Rest & Serve
    Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

 Tips & Variations

  • Add cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
  • Stir a little cream cheese into the mac and cheese for extra creaminess.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like heat.
