Mac and Cheese Lasagna Delight
This fun, comfort-food mashup combines creamy mac and cheese with hearty meat sauce and melty cheese layers. It’s rich, filling, and perfect for family dinners!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 package macaroni and cheese (prepared according to package directions)
- 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or oil (for greasing dish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Drain excess fat, then season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. - Add Sauce
Stir the spaghetti sauce into the cooked beef.
Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat. - Prepare Mac and Cheese
Make the macaroni and cheese according to the package instructions. Set aside. - Assemble the Layers
- Spread ½ of the mac and cheese in the bottom of the baking dish.
- Top with ½ of the meat sauce.
- Sprinkle with ½ of the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
- Repeat the layers once more.
- Finish with Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden on top. - Rest & Serve
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips & Variations
- Add cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
- Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
- Stir a little cream cheese into the mac and cheese for extra creaminess.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like heat.
