1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Oven & Cabbage

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Remove loose outer leaves from the cabbage.

Slice into thick steaks (about 2–2.5 cm / ¾–1 inch thick).

Place steaks flat on the baking sheet.

2️⃣ Cook the Bacon

Cook bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy.

Transfer to paper towels to drain.

Once cooled, chop into small pieces.

Tip: Keep a little bacon fat for extra flavor if you like!

3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Mixture

In a small bowl, combine:

Melted butter

Minced garlic

Onion powder

Smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper

Mix well.

4️⃣ Season the Cabbage

Brush both sides of each cabbage steak with olive oil.

Then generously brush with the garlic butter mixture.

5️⃣ Add Toppings

Sprinkle chopped bacon evenly over each steak.

Top with grated Parmesan cheese.

6️⃣ Roast

Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes.

Flip halfway through cooking (around 20 minutes) for even browning.

The cabbage should be:

Tender inside

Golden and slightly crispy on the edges

7️⃣ Finish & Serve

Remove from oven.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley (optional).

Serve hot.
