Creamy Ranch Smothered Cheesy Chicken Bake

Creamy Ranch Smothered Cheesy Chicken Bake
Juicy chicken breasts smothered in a rich ranch sour cream sauce and topped with bubbling melted cheese — an easy comfort-food dinner the whole family will love.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish and set aside.
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and half of the ranch seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown. The chicken does not need to be fully cooked at this stage.
Transfer the browned chicken breasts to the prepared baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with the remaining ranch seasoning. Spread the mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top.
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is hot, melted, and bubbly.
The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad.
Tips for Extra Flavor
Add crispy bacon bits before baking for a smoky twist.
