Cherry Salad (Creamy No-Bake Dessert)

Cherry Salad (Creamy No-Bake Dessert)
This old-fashioned cherry salad (sometimes called Cherry Fluff) is sweet, creamy, and perfect for making ahead. Since it’s just the two of you, this recipe stores beautifully and can last several days in the fridge.
Ingredients
1 (21 oz / 595 g) can cherry pie filling
1 (20 oz / 565 g) can pineapple chunks, well drained
1 (14 oz / 396 g) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups mini marshmallows
4 cups thawed whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
Instructions
Drain the pineapple
Drain thoroughly to avoid excess liquid. Pat lightly with paper towels if needed.
Combine the base
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cherry pie filling and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
Add texture
Fold in the drained pineapple, chopped walnuts, and mini marshmallows.
Fold in whipped topping
Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until fully combined and creamy. Do not overmix.
Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is even better for flavor).
Serve
Serve chilled. Garnish with extra walnuts or a few cherries on top if desired.
Storage
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Stir gently before serving again.
Not recommended for freezing (texture may change).
Optional Variations
Swap walnuts for pecans.
Add ½ cup shredded coconut.
Use crushed pineapple instead of chunks for a smoother texture.
Add ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for extra flavor
