Garlic Honey Elixir

A Traditional Immune-Boosting Remedy

Garlic has long been used in many cultures to support the body’s defenses, thanks to compounds like allicin. When combined with honey, it becomes gentler, tastier, and easier to take.

 

 

 

Ingredients

1 full head of fresh garlic (10–12 cloves)

1 cup raw honey (local if possible)

1 clean glass jar with lid

Optional boosters (choose one or two):

Lemon peel or juice (vitamin C)

A pinch of grated ginger

A pinch of turmeric + black pepper

 

 

 

 

Instructions

Peel & crush the garlic

Lightly crush or chop the cloves.

Let them rest 10 minutes (this activates allicin).

Fill the jar

Place garlic into the jar, filling it about halfway.

Add honey

Pour honey over the garlic until fully covered.

Mix gently

Stir with a clean spoon to remove air bubbles.

Seal & rest

Close the jar loosely.

Let it sit at room temperature for 24 hours, then store in the fridge.

Ferment time (optional but powerful)

Best after 3–7 days, usable up to 1 month refrigerated.

 

 

 

How to Use

Daily immune support:

→ 1 teaspoon honey + 1 garlic clove per day

At first signs of a cold:

→ 1 teaspoon 2–3 times daily

Can be taken straight or mixed into warm (not hot) water or tea
