Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup warm water

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (plus a little extra for cooking)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the flour, warm water, and oil.

Mix until a soft dough forms, then knead for 3–4 minutes until smooth.

Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each into a thin circle.

Heat a lightly oiled skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.

Cook each flatbread for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown spots appear and the bread is cooked through.

Stack the flatbreads on a plate and cover with a clean kitchen towel to keep them soft.
