Cook Time: 45–50 minutes

Total Time: About 1 hour

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lb / 900 g)

1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) condensed cream of chicken soup

1 package (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened

1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) dry Italian salad dressing mix

Instructions

Preheat the oven

Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the baking dish

Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish so the chicken doesn’t stick.

Arrange the chicken

Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the dish.

If some pieces are very thick, gently pound them so they cook evenly.

Make the creamy sauce

In a mixing bowl, combine:

cream of chicken soup

softened cream cheese

Italian dressing mix

Stir or whisk until mostly smooth and creamy.

Add sauce to chicken

Pour the sauce over the chicken and spread it evenly so each piece is covered.

First bake (covered)

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Second bake (uncovered)

Remove the foil and continue baking 15–20 minutes, until:

the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internally

the sauce is bubbling and slightly thick.

Rest before serving

Let the chicken rest 5 minutes so the sauce settles and thickens.

Serve

Spoon the creamy sauce over the chicken when serving.
