Pineapple Moonshine Bright, Boozy & Island-Smooth

Pineapple Moonshine Bright, Boozy & Island-Smooth
Why Pineapple Moonshine?
Pineapple moonshine is the perfect blend of tropical sweetness and the robust kick of traditional moonshine.
It’s a refreshing twist on your average spirit, offering a unique flavor profile that’s bound to impress. Plus, it’s an excellent way to dive into the world of homemade spirits. So, let’s get started!
What You’ll Need
Before we jump into the nitty-gritty, make sure you have the following ingredients and tools:
1 ripe pineapple
1 lemon (washed with veggie soap, link in the description)
White lightning or moonshine (purchased from your local liquor store)
Sugar in the raw (1/4 cup, but feel free to substitute with regular sugar)
Measuring cups (we love our OXO measuring cups for accuracy)
Prepping Your Fruits
First off, we’re going to cube the pineapple and slice the lemon off-camera. Don’t worry; it’s a breeze.
The Mixing Magic
Now, with our fruits prepped and ready, let’s dive into the mixing:
Divide the lemon slices and pineapple chunks into jars evenly.
Add the sugar using a funnel to avoid spills. (Trust me, it makes a difference!)
Pour the moonshine evenly into each jar until it hits just the right spot.
A Little Tip:
When pouring the moonshine, aim for the 24-ounce mark on your jar. This ensures a perfect balance between the fruitiness of the pineapple and the potent shine of the moonshine.
The Waiting Game
After securing the lids and giving the jars a good shake, it’s time for the hardest part: waiting. Here are a few pointers:
Store in a cool, dark place to let the flavors meld beautifully.
Shake once a day to mix those flavors well.
Patience is key; wait one to two weeks for a decent infusion, but for a truly magnificent flavor, six to twelve months is where it’s at.
