Slow Cooker Ground Beef and Cabbage (4 Ingredients)

Slow Cooker Ground Beef and Cabbage (4 Ingredients)
Servings
4–6 servings
Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 medium head of cabbage (chopped)
1 medium onion (chopped)
2–3 cups beef broth (or water + 1–2 bouillon cubes)
Optional (but recommended for flavor):
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
1. Brown the Beef (optional but adds flavor)
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Break it up as it cooks.
Drain excess fat if needed.
You can skip this step and put raw beef in the slow cooker, but browning gives a richer taste.
2. Layer in Slow Cooker
Add chopped cabbage to the bottom
Add chopped onion on top
Add the cooked (or raw) ground beef
3. Add Broth
Pour in the beef broth (just enough to mostly cover everything)
4. Slow Cook
Low: 6–8 hours
High: 3–4 hours
Cook until cabbage is very tender and flavors are well combined.
5. Season & Serve
Taste and add salt and pepper if needed
Stir gently before serving
