Easy 3-Ingredient Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Macaroni

Easy 3-Ingredient Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Macaroni
My dad invented this genius Depression-era style dinner when the cupboards were nearly empty. With just three ingredients, you get a sweet, tangy, beefy comfort meal that kids absolutely devour.
Ingredients (Serves 6)
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 can (15 oz) sloppy joe sauce
1 box (12 oz) elbow macaroni
Instructions
Brown the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat if needed.
Combine in slow cooker: Add the browned beef, sloppy joe sauce, and uncooked elbow macaroni to your slow cooker. Stir to combine.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or on high for 1.5–2 hours, until the pasta is tender and the sauce is thick and bubbly.
Serve: Spoon the sloppy joe macaroni into bowls or onto plates.
Serving Suggestions
Pair with simple sides like buttered peas, green beans, or a crisp iceberg salad with ranch.
Serve with soft white bread or warm dinner rolls to soak up every bit of sauce.
For a classic touch, pour tall glasses of cold milk or sweet tea. Dessert can be simple—applesauce or canned fruit fits perfectly.
Tips & Variations
Make it creamy: Stir in a handful of shredded cheddar cheese before serving.
Extra flavor: Add a dash of garlic powder or a pinch of chili flakes for a little kick.
Meal prep: Keeps well in the fridge for 3–4 days and reheats beautifully.
