Ingredients
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups warm milk
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon dry yeast
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add the oil and salt, then gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth ball.
Arrange the dough balls in a lightly greased skillet or non-stick pan, leaving a little space between them.
Cover and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
Place the skillet over very low heat, cover tightly with a lid, and cook for 20–25 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
Carefully flip the rolls and cook for another 10–15 minutes until both sides are beautifully golden and cooked through.
Brush with a little melted butter while still warm for an extra-soft finish.
