Cheesy Garlic Bread — Soft, Buttery, and Loaded with Melted Cheese!

This homemade cheesy bread is soft, fluffy, buttery, and packed with delicious melted cheese in every bite. Perfect as a side dish for soups, pasta, and grilled meats—or simply enjoyed warm straight from the oven!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

– 3 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon sugar

– 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup warm milk

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

– 1 large egg

For the Filling & Topping:

– 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

– ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 3 tablespoons melted butter

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

– A pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, until foamy.

2. Add the melted butter and egg, then mix well. Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring until a soft dough forms.

3. Knead the dough for about 6–8 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place it in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

4. Prepare the Garlic Butter:

Mix the melted butter with the minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.

5. Assemble the Bread:

Roll the dough into a rectangle. Brush it with some garlic butter and sprinkle evenly with the mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

6. Roll the dough into a log or fold it as desired, then place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet. Brush the top with the remaining garlic butter.

7. Let the shaped dough rest for another 20–30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).

8. Bake:

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and beautifully melted on top.

9. Let the bread cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm. Enjoy the irresistible cheesy goodness!

Tip:

For an extra cheesy finish, sprinkle a little more mozzarella and cheddar on top during the last 5 minutes of baking. Serve warm for the ultimate cheese pull!
