Creamy Baked Meatballs with Garlic Parmesan Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

 

For the Meatballs:

–  1 lb / 450g ground beef 80/20

–  mm1/4 cup finely chopped onion

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

–  1 large egg

–  1 tsp salt + 1/2 tsp black pepper

–  1 tsp dried oregano

 

For the Creamy Sauce:

 

–  3 tbsp butter

–  2 cloves garlic, minced

–  1 1/2 cups heavy cream

–  1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

–  1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

–  Salt & pepper to taste

–  Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

*HOW TO MAKE IT:

*1.  PREP*

Preheat oven to 400°F / 200°C. Grease a 9×13 baking dish

 

*2.  MIX*

Combine all meatball ingredients in a bowl. Don’t overmix! Roll into 12 juicy balls.

 

*3.  SEAR*

Brown meatballs 2-3 min per side in a skillet. Gets that golden crust = more flavor

 

*4.  SAUCE TIME*

In same pan, melt butter → sauté garlic 30 sec → pour cream → simmer 2 min → stir in Parmesan till silky smooth

 

*5.  BAKE*

Place meatballs in dish → pour ALL that creamy sauce over → bake 18-20 min till bubbly & golden on top

 

 

 

 

6.  FINISH

Sprinkle fresh parsley. Let it rest 5 min. Serve hot over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes!

 

Pro Tip : Broil 1 min at the end for extra golden spots on the cheese!
