Crispy Golden Potato Sticks
Better Than Fries – Crispy, Cheesy & So Easy to Make!
Forget fast food! These homemade crispy potato sticks are golden on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with delicious flavor. Perfect as a snack, side dish, or party appetizer — and so easy that everyone can make them at home!
Ingredients
4 medium potatoes, peeled and grated
1 egg
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions
Grate the potatoes and squeeze out as much liquid as possible using a clean towel.
Place the potatoes in a bowl and add the egg, cornstarch, cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
Shape the mixture into small sticks or mini patties.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the potato sticks for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until crispy and golden brown.
Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve hot with ketchup, garlic sauce, or your favorite dip.
Tips
For extra crispiness, chill the mixture for 15 minutes before frying.
You can also bake them in the oven or air fryer for a lighter version.
Add paprika or chili flakes for a spicy kick!
