Ingredients

2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed Italian herbs

3 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil

¾ cup (180ml) water, or as needed

Optional: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or grated cheese for topping

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, garlic powder, and dried herbs. Add the oil and mix until the flour resembles coarse crumbs.

2. Add Water

Gradually pour in the water while mixing until a soft, smooth dough forms. Knead gently for 2–3 minutes until the dough becomes elastic.

3. Roll and Shape

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Roll the dough out as thinly as possible on a lightly floured surface. The thinner the dough, the crispier the crackers will be.

 

 

 

 

Cut into squares, rectangles, or any desired shape using a knife or pizza cutter. Transfer to the prepared baking tray.

4. Add Toppings

Lightly brush the tops with a little water or oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds, herbs, or a pinch of sea salt if desired.

5. Bake

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crisp around the edges.

6. Cool and Serve

Allow the crackers to cool completely on a wire rack. They will become even crispier as they cool.
