Ingredients

1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled

1/2 cup fresh orange juice

1 tablespoon orange zest

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix

1/2 cup cold milk

1 cup whipped topping (optional, for extra fluffiness)

Optional Garnishes

Fresh orange slices or mandarin segments

Whipped cream

Extra orange zest

Crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers

Instructions

Prepare the pudding base In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened. Set aside for 2 minutes.

Make the creamy orange mixture In a separate large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix until fully combined and silky.

Combine the mixtures Fold the prepared pudding into the orange cream cheese mixture until smooth and well blended.

Whip the cream In another chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Fold everything together Gently fold the whipped cream into the orange mixture until light, airy, and fully incorporated. For an even fluffier texture, fold in the whipped topping as well.

Chill Spoon the mousse into individual serving glasses or a large dessert bowl. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.

Serve Top with whipped cream, fresh orange slices, a sprinkle of orange zest, or crushed vanilla wafers before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve chilled for the best texture and flavor. This mousse pairs beautifully with butter cookies, shortbread, or a crisp vanilla wafer.
