🛒 Ingredients
For the Sliders
1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced deli ham (Honey Ham or Black Forest Ham)
½ lb (225 g) Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
Optional: Pickled jalapeño slices for extra flavor and heat
For the Buttery Poppy Seed Glaze
½ cup (115 g) butter, melted
1 tbsp Dijon mustard or yellow mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
1. Prepare the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab horizontally to create one large top and one large bottom layer. Place the bottom half into a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Assemble the Sliders
Layer the ham evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Top with the Swiss cheese slices, covering the ham completely. Add jalapeños if using, then place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
3. Make the Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together:
Melted butter
Mustard
Worcestershire sauce
Poppy seeds
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Pour the glaze evenly over the tops of the rolls, allowing it to seep into all the crevices.
4. Bake
Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for 8–10 minutes, or until the tops are beautifully golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
5. Serve
Let the sliders rest for about 5 minutes before cutting along the roll lines. Serve warm and watch them disappear!
Tips for the Best Sliders
Add a layer of turkey for an extra hearty sandwich.
