No-Peek Beef Tips (Oven Recipe)

No-Peek Beef Tips (Oven Recipe)
Ingredients:
2 lbs chuck roast (cut into bite-sized chunks)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 packet beefy onion soup mix
1 can water (use the empty soup can to measure)
Optional:
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
Garlic powder (½ tsp, optional)
Mushrooms or onions (extra flavor)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
Prepare the beef
Cut the chuck roast into chunks (if not already).
Season lightly with salt and pepper (optional).
Mix the sauce
In a bowl, combine:
Cream of mushroom soup
Gravy mix
Onion soup mix
Water
Stir until smooth.
Assemble
Place beef in a baking dish (9×13 works well).
Pour the sauce over the meat.
Stir slightly to coat.
Cover tightly
Use foil and seal it well.
This is key — “no peek” means don’t open it while cooking!
Bake
Cook for 3 hours at 300°F.
Do NOT open the oven or remove foil during cooking.
Finish & serve
Remove from oven and stir.
The beef should be super tender and covered in rich gravy.
Serving Ideas:
Over mashed potatoes (perfect choice )
With rice
Over egg noodles
With crusty bread
Tips:
Chuck roast works great—it becomes extra tender after slow cooking.
If you want thicker gravy, let it sit uncovered for 5–10 minutes after baking.
You can add carrots or potatoes for a full one-pan meal.
