Slow Cooker Shamrock Herb Pork Steaks

Slow Cooker Shamrock Herb Pork Steaks
Time
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 6–7 hours (low) or 3–4 hours (high)
Servings
4 servings
Ingredients (Just 4!)
4 thick-cut pork shoulder steaks (or pork loin steaks)
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted
1½ cups fresh herbs (parsley, spinach, or a mix—finely chopped for that vibrant green “shamrock” color)
Instructions
1. Prepare the pork
Place the pork steaks in the bottom of your slow cooker in a single layer if possible.
2. Add seasoning
Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the pork.
3. Make the herb butter
In a bowl, mix:
Melted butter
Finely chopped herbs
Stir well until combined.
4. Pour over pork
Pour the green herb butter mixture over the pork steaks, making sure they’re well coated.
5. Slow cook
Cover and cook:
LOW: 6–7 hours (best for extra tender meat)
HIGH: 3–4 hours
The pork should be fork-tender and juicy.
How to Serve
Spoon plenty of the green herb butter sauce over the pork and serve with:
Creamy mashed potatoes
Buttered egg noodles
Steamed green beans or asparagus
Crusty bread to soak up the sauce
Tips
Want deeper flavor? Sear the pork for 2–3 minutes per side before slow cooking.
If the sauce feels too rich, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice at the end
You can swap herbs depending on what you have—parsley + spinach gives the best bright green color.
Optional Add-ins (if you want to upgrade it)
3–4 cloves garlic (minced)
½ tsp black pepper
A handful of grated Parmesan for extra richness
This is one of those minimal-effort, maximum-flavor meals—perfect for spring dinners or when you just want something comforting without the work.
