Golden Chicken Ham & Swiss Crescent Braid

Crispy, flaky crescent dough wrapped around juicy chicken, smoky ham, and gooey melted Swiss cheese… this braided bake is pure comfort in every bite! Perfect for family dinners, parties, or cozy weekends at home.

 

 

 

Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough sheet

2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded

6 slices chicken ham

6 slices Swiss cheese

3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

Salt & black pepper, to taste

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Sesame seeds or parsley for garnish (optional)

 

 

 

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with cream cheese, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper until creamy and well combined.

Roll out the crescent dough sheet onto the prepared tray. Using a knife, cut strips along both long sides, leaving the center intact for the filling.

Layer the chicken mixture down the center of the dough. Add the chicken ham slices and top with Swiss cheese.

Fold the dough strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a beautiful braided pattern.

Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or parsley if desired.

Bake for 20–25 minutes or until deeply golden and puffed.

 

 

 

Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy, flaky goodness!
