Crispy Parmesan Artichoke Hearts

 

Golden, crispy, and irresistibly savory — the perfect roasted appetizer!

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

Artichokes

 

6–8 artichoke hearts (fresh or canned, drained)

 

2 tbsp olive oil

 

½ tsp garlic powder

 

Salt and black pepper

 

 

Parmesan Crust

 

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

 

¼ cup breadcrumbs

 

1 tbsp chopped parsley

 

½ tsp lemon zest

 

 

Optional Finish

 

Fresh lemon wedges

 

Extra parmesan

 

 

 

Before You Start

 

The parmesan should melt and crisp into a golden crust while the artichokes stay tender inside.

 

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F

 

Pat artichoke hearts dry with paper towels.

 

Place them cut-side up on a baking tray.

 

Drizzle olive oil over the artichokes.

 

Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

 

In a bowl mix:

 

parmesan

 

breadcrumbs

 

parsley

 

lemon zest

 

Spoon mixture generously over each artichoke heart.

 

Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and crispy.

 

For extra crunch, broil 2 minutes.

 

Remove from oven.

 

Sprinkle extra parsley.

 

Serve with lemon ..
